Court Work
Campbell Smith assists potential litigants with a
wide variety of matters
Campbell
Smith assists potential litigants, both individual and
corporate, with a wide variety of matters. If these cannot
be resolved and settled through the less expensive pre-litigation
process, then they are considered for Court and where appropriate,
proceedings are raised.
Have you suffered an injury, either at work or as a result
of negligence?
A significant percentage of work undertaken is Personal Injury
Actions in the Court of Session. A strict timetable ensures
the resolution of the claim within one year from the action
being raised.
The department
has considerable experience in both defending and pursuing.
In many cases we are instructed as Edinburgh Agents by firms
based throughout Scotland.
We work with our elderly care team to assist with the obtaining of Intervention Orders and Guardianship Orders where welfare and/or financial powers are needed. We can also advise in relation to consumer contracts, landlord and tenant/neighbour disputes.
We undertake the recovery of unpaid bills, debt recover and disputes over issues such as pension payments. If appropriate we can raise proceedings to prevent the unfair disposal of assets.
We also undertake a small amount of criminal work, instructed by local agents, usually confined to Bail Appeals and Appeals against Sentence.
